We made a sketch with Dante Basco, the man who played Rufio in the film "Hook!"
A while back, the AVClub spilled the beans about our collaboration with Dante, and how we wrote/produced a musical about Rufio's backstory when we were students at Skidmore College. In other words, Rufio has been on our minds for a while.
Huge thanks to Dante Basco for being the coolest dude ever, as well as Steve Brian, the director of this sketch. Special thanks to Emily Spaulding and Rebecca Johnson.
We're doing a show on Saturday, Feb 23rd with Coco Van and Bootsy Collins! The show is free, but donations are suggested/appreciated.
The show starts at 9:30pm.
The Neon Venus is located at 7023 Melrose, Los Angeles, CA 90038.
For more information, check out the Facebook event.
Check out our latest video, in which we improvised and illustrated some letters from camp!
Our apologies to Don Pardo and Bill Hader.
We were a plenary session at the 2013 California Advancement Partnership for Schools (CAPS) conference!
What does that mean?
We did an improv show for over 250 education/fundraising professionals at nine in the morning in the gymnasium of Marin Country Day School, one of the prettiest campuses we've ever seen. [Update: you can watch our show here.] Then we answered questions about improv and how we use that training in the real world.
We'll hopefully start doing more shows at schools throughout California. Want us to come to yours? E-mail us at theyoungerstatesmen[at]gmail[dot]com.

We improvised some Civil War letters that were then illustrated for your enjoyment. Watch it and learn some stuff about history.
On Friday, December 14th, we had our last weekly show at The Improv Space in Westwood.
We wanted to thank Ashley Opstad for adopting us as a house team almost three years ago, and thanks to Adam Macy for keeping us on.
Don't worry! We'll still be performing around town at the various "indie" venues, and we're excited about sharing other projects we've cooked up,
We're performing at "Where Eagles Dare," an awesome indie show that features both improv and sketch!
