About

The Younger Statesmen are a sketch and improv comedy group based in Los Angeles. Matt Chester, David Kantrowitz, Matt Schwartz and Danny Tieger started performing together at Skidmore College.  They decided to continue working together in their post-graduation lives, and in 2008 became finalists in Rooftop Comedy's National College Comedy Competition, with a video that was later featured on YouTube's homepage.

They currently perform weekly at the Improv Space in Westwood, and can be seen at several other "indie" shows around Los Angeles (such as TNT, Catsby, Crash Bar, Room 101, The Improv Lab, and more.) They appeared as a Featured Improv Group in the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, performed at the "Out of Bounds" Comedy Festival in Austin, TX, and lasted fifteen weeks at the iO West cagematch, giving them a show at the theater's Improv Festival. 

Their long-form shows open with an idea generator that combines music, visual arts, and pure thought.
